It involves preserving intricate mechanics, navigating narrow HDB corridors or landed staircases, and protecting the polished finish of your musical investment.
With over 41 years of specialized experience and thousands of instrument relocations completed across Singapore, we have evolved beyond being simple "movers." We are custodians of your music.
Whether you are transporting a family heirloom Upright, delivering a Concert Grand to a performance hall, or relocating a heavy electric organ, our mission is simple: to keep your instrument in perfect harmony.

Get to move your instrument without fear of scratches. Many of our customers in Singapore opt for our full protection service. It is the best option for a truly damage-free move.
Before The Move: Our specialist team will arrive at your home with specialized padding. This includes heavy-duty quilted blankets, shrink wrap, and corner guards.
The Packing: We carefully wrap the entire body of the piano, securing the keyboard lid and pedals. We pay special attention to the polyester finish, using specific materials to prevent swirls or abrasion. This is a key part of our preservation service.
After The Move: At your new location, we will unwrap your instrument and polish the exterior surfaces. We can also offer advice on placement away from direct sunlight. We will then clear away all the protective materials. This makes settling into your new practice space much easier.

Grand pianos in Singapore are structurally complex. For example, items like the heavy lid, the lyre (pedal box), and the three legs must be dismantled to be moved safely through doorways.
Dismantling: Our team has the correct tools and knowledge to remove the legs and lyre of your Grand piano properly. We keep track of all hinge pins and bolts so nothing is lost during the move.
Reassembly: Once at your new home, we will reassemble the piano in the room you designate. We make sure the legs are locked and the lyre is functional, so your piano stands steady and ready to play.

The transport phase is critical. Our modern fleet of trucks is clean, air-conditioned (optional), and equipped with tie-down rails to stabilize your instrument during transit.
Our drivers are experienced professionals who know Singapore's roads well. They plan the smoothest routes to avoid bumps that could affect the piano's internal action or tuning stability.

Sometimes your new home is not ready immediately. Or perhaps you are renovating and need to protect the wood.
We offer secure storage services. We can move your piano into our clean, humidity-controlled storage facility. Your instrument will be kept safe from Singapore's fluctuating humidity. Then, we will deliver and set it up for you. This service adds longevity to your instrument.

Shalom Movers provides disposal services. We can responsibly dispose of your unwanted organs or pianos.
This saves you the trouble of arranging a separate heavy-waste service. In fact, improper disposal of heavy pianos can be illegal and dangerous; we help you manage this part of the move responsibly.
On the scheduled day, our uniformed piano moving team will arrive on time.

We recommend booking at least 1 to 2 weeks in advance. Weekends and month-ends are popular times for moves. Booking early ensures we can allocate the specific manpower and equipment (like piano skids) needed for your specific instrument.
While we focus on the physical transportation, we can recommend trusted partners for tuning. We generally advise waiting 2 to 3 weeks after the move before tuning. This allows the piano's wood and strings to acclimatize to the new temperature and humidity of your home.
Yes, we provide basic liability coverage for your items. However, given the high value of pianos (often ranging from $5,000 to over $100,000), we strongly recommend our comprehensive insurance options. This covers dents, internal damage, or scratches giving you total peace of mind.
Yes. We specialize in "stair-carry" operations. If your lift is too small or you live in a walk-up apartment, our trained team can manually carry the piano. Please note that staircase charges apply per floor, as this requires extra manpower and poses higher risk.
Rain is common in Singapore. We come prepared. We use waterproof plastic wrap and heavy blankets to ensure your piano remains dry during the transition from the house to the truck. We guarantee attendance rain or shine, but safety for the instrument comes first.
Yes. It is standard procedure to remove the legs, lyre (pedals), and music desk of a Grand Piano before moving it. We wrap these parts separately. Upon arrival, we reassemble everything so the piano is ready to be played immediately.
